Global research makes it clear that the threat of COVID and the adversity caused by lockdowns, essential service, virtual work, social isolation, economic pressure, and all the disruptions to life have led to widespread increases in anxiety, depression, and psychological distress.  That said, research also tells us that these times of challenge have the potential to set the stage for profound growth. With the right personal resources and enabling factors, we may be able to buffer, bolster and build our well-being for the better.

The question HR leaders need to wrestle with is how?

Well-being may have become an essential topic for our field over the past couple years, but it’s not a new one. This session will touch on the rich psychological research that exists on well-being and how HR functions are evolving their practices to apply well-being as a catalyst for sustainable performance. We’ll look at the human operating systems we manage, how we can be more mindful of well-being across the employee life cycle, connecting the dots in employee experience to help our people, be healthy, and have impact at work and in their lives.
