Summary

FEATURED SPONSOR

Many leaders and organizations have provided opportunities to support resilience at an individual level. Yet, this is not enough. How do we move beyond this to build organizational resilience through collective leadership? How do we ensure that we learn from the past and enable organizations to adapt to the future, managing change and the opportunities and challenges that come with it?

Resilience is the capability of organizations to prevent and respond effectively to crises and the ability to anticipate, adapt to and take advantage of long- term trends, challenges and opportunities. Put simply, resilience is about being change-ready and responding well to change.

Learning Objectives:

  • 4 key factors that contribute to a resilience culture: Purpose and values; learning organization; relationships, social capital, and shared leadership.
  • Key capabilities of resilient organizations.
  • Peer sharing & learning on resilience strategies at the individual, team, and organizational level during COVID-19.
  • Sharing of a leadership team case study who overcame significant leadership changes; funding crisis; branding loss and then came together and faced a “ransomware attack” and built their resilience just in time to deal with COVID 19.
  • Research on organizations and resilience.

Why organizational resilience is so important today and will continue in importance.
